Juggle, Balance, Laugh

Circus Comes to Busselton!

Mitchell Park was bursting with energy, laughter and flying juggling balls this May as Head Over Heels Acrobatics brought their world-class circus skills to the heart of Busselton.

Thanks to support from Rio Tinto and the Building Busselton Town Team, kids aged 8–12 were invited to learn the basics of circus arts in two high-energy weekend workshops.

Led by the incredible duo Isaac Salter and Michèle Lainé, these sessions weren’t your average after-school activity. With decades of international performance experience between them — including stunt work in films like Batman Begins and The Golden Compass — Isaac and Michèle brought big-stage energy to our little park.

The workshops wrapped with a Juggle Jam, where kids showed off their new skills and families joined in the fun. From juggling to balancing acts and clowning around, the event sparked so much enthusiasm that Isaac is now dreaming of a monthly Juggle Jam group in Busselton. Could Mitchell Park become our own mini circus school? We think so!

“We’ll create a generation of circus-minded kids right here and now!” – Michèle Lainé

Why It Matters

Events like this show what’s possible when local talent meets community energy. They activate public space, give kids a chance to shine, and connect families through laughter and play — exactly the kind of vibe Building Busselton loves to support.

Huge thanks to everyone who attended, to our friends at Rio Tinto for funding the fun, and to Head Over Heels Acrobatics for bringing the circus spirit to Busselton.
